The AACN-TV production team have years of experience making news programs for national network television broadcast. We typically send a two-person crew into the field: A Producer (who directs the filming and conducts the interviews); and a Director of Photography (who is both videographer and audio tech). Compared to the Network News days of old, digital cameras and LED lighting allow us to travel with a much smaller footprint. In a day and a half, we will block, set and light for up to four formal interviews, and capture hours of b-roll (covering footage) to complement the soundbites to tell the story.
